🚪Step Through the Door

Sometimes the first step toward healing is simply showing up.

No pressure.
No expectations.
Just a quiet welcome, a gentle presence, and the opportunity to reconnect with yourself.

At Hope Meadows, healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken—it’s about discovering what’s possible.
Finding peace in the moment.
Finding connection without words.
Finding strength, trust, and hope one step at a time.

Our door is open, and our herd is ready to meet you exactly where you are.

🌿 Come as you are. Hope begins here.

❤️ Welcome to Hope Meadows, Boys! ❤️

Please help us give a warm Hope Meadows welcome to Duke and Jake!

These two special boys have already touched many lives, and we are excited to have them join our herd. As they settle into their new home, Duke and Jake will continue their important work of helping people find healing, hope, confidence, and connection through the incredible bond between horses and humans.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of their next chapter and can’t wait to see the impact they will have on everyone they meet.

Welcome home, Duke and Jake! We are so glad you’re here.

💚Meet Heather & Discover Her Why💚

Hi, my name is Heather, and I volunteer by working in the barn at Hope Meadows.

I’ve been involved with Hope Meadows in different ways over the years. What started as supporting a friend with her passion project grew into something much more personal for me. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep belief in the work being done here and the powerful role horses can play in supporting people who are struggling with their mental health.

I’m very drawn to attending to the basic needs of horses, which is why I love spending time in the Hope Meadows barn. Those few hours I spend volunteering each week have become non-negotiable for me. What starts as caring for the horses somehow ends up caring for me, too.

I’ve loved horses for as long as I can remember. Horses have a way of reaching us differently than people do. I’ve experienced moments with them where my walls came down, where I’ve whispered truths I couldn’t say out loud to anyone else, and where I’ve found profound comfort in their trust, their quiet strength, and the steady rhythm of their breath.

That’s what Hope Meadows means to me. It’s a place where healing, connection, and hope show up in simple but powerful ways—for participants, volunteers, and anyone fortunate enough to spend time alongside these incredible horses.

🌻 Healing isn’t about never facing darkness—it’s about learning to trust that light still exists, even when you can’t see it.

Give yourself grace. Honor your growth. And remember: resilience is often built one small step, one hopeful moment, one day at a time.

💚Meet Lacey & Discover Her Why💚

My name is Lacey, and I've been part of the Hope Meadows family since the fall of 2022. I started as an Office Assistant and now serve as the Office Manager.

When I found Hope Meadows, I was specifically looking for a position in the nonprofit world where I could be part of an organization that makes a difference in people's lives. As someone in long-term recovery from addiction, giving back has become a huge part of my own healing journey. I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself. From the moment I walked through the gates at Hope Meadows, I knew I had found the right place.

One of the most meaningful experiences during my time here was when we launched our Equine-Assisted Addiction Recovery Program. There are so many moments that stand out, but the days when groups from IBH Addiction Recovery and Judge Joy Malek Oldfield’s Turning Point Program first came to Hope Meadows will always hold a special place in my heart. Those organizations represent such an important part of my own recovery story, and being able to watch others begin their healing journey in this unique and supportive environment that helped change my life was incredibly emotional and rewarding.

What Hope Meadows means to me is hope. It's a place where people are seen, supported, and given the opportunity to heal without judgment. One of the things I love most about my role is writing grants that help make our programs accessible to people who otherwise couldn't afford them. Knowing that a grant award can mean someone gets the help they need when they need it most is something I never take for granted.

Every day, I'm reminded how blessed I am to be part of this mission. Hope Meadows isn't just where I work—it's a place that reflects so much of what I believe in: healing, connection, second chances, and hope.
