Friendly reminder to all Moose 2070 members…Moose member meeting this coming Monday starting at 7:00 pm. Come learn more about and vote on proposed lodge improvements. We will have Monday burgers starting at 5:00 for those who are coming straight from work.

Moose memos for week of August 12th…and beyond…

Thursday, August 13th: Thursday “Light” Dinner starts at 5:00 pm. $10 per dinner featuring a Waldo style smoked and fried bologna sandwich, homemade cole slaw, and fresh cut watermelon. Queen drawing immediately follows at 7:00 pm.

Saturday, August 15th: Browns kick off their 60th annual quest to make it to the Super Bowl at 1:00 pm versus the Monsters of the Midway aka the Chicago Bears. Join us at the Moose as the Browns add intrigue to their ongoing quarterback controversy.

Monday, August 17th: Monday burgers start at 5:00 pm. Best $3 burgers in Wadsworth!

Looking ahead…Saturday, August 22nd - there are still a few free Akron Rubberducks tickets left compliments of the lodge. First come, first serve on the remaining tickets. Please ask the bartender for tickets.

Monday, August 31st: All member meeting starts at 7:00. This is every member’s chance to vote on several large proposed lodge projects.

Finally, the lodge is hosting an extra special Ladies Night on Wednesday, September 9th at 6:30 pm. The florist from Silver Creek Farm & Floral will be presenting a floral decoration class. The class is available to the first 25 members that sign-up with the bartenders. Cost is $20 and includes all supplies, the class, and a catered dinner. The lodge is paying the other half of the cost of the class.

What a great time at the 2026 family picnic! Tasty food, awesome prizes and great friends. Largest crowd we have had in years.

A very special thank you to those members that took less than a minute to RSVP for the Moose Picnic during the six weeks the sheet was sitting on the counter at the club. We try to make this a showcase event for the club each year which takes more planning than a typical event. It also takes a budget we try to follow. This year we have had a surge of interest after our deadline for headcount for catering. Please understand that for lunch, what we will have is what we will have. Thanks, in advance, for not blaming the volunteers that plan the event.

Moose memos for week of July 26th - August 3rd:

Please sign-up ASAP for three upcoming events:

1. Moose night at the Ballpark. The Moose has purchased 40 tickets to the August 22nd Akron Rubber Ducks baseball game at Canal Park. First pitch is 6:05 with fireworks following the game. First come, first serve on tickets. Ask your friendly Moose bartender for tickets if you would like to go. Tickets are reserved for members only.

2. Ladies Night floral arrangement class with Silver Creek Farm and Floral. On Wednesday, September 9th beginning at 6:30, the Moose will host a floral decorating class with the club paying half the $40 participation fee for the first 25 members that sign-up for the class. For $20, members will get a chance to learn some basic floral arranging skills, catered dinner, and a beautiful floral centerpiece to take home! If you would like to participate, please see the bartender and they will accept your $20 payment for your slot and sign you up for what promises to be a great event.

3. Please consider signing up for the Moose family picnic dessert contest this week. The sign-up sheet is on the counter at the club. We will be awarding top three vote getters with substantial cash prizes.

As for this week…

Monday, July 27th: last week of $2 Monday burgers. Beginning Monday, August 3rd, price will increase to $3 per burger.

Thursday, July 30th: Thursday Light Dinner starts at 5:00 pm and will feature BLT wraps, watermelon, and brownies for $10. The pursuit of the queen continues at 7:00 pm.

Saturday, August 1st: Weekly and monthly drawing at 8:00 pm. Due to golf outing earlier the same day and picnic on Sunday, there will be no monthly dinner.

Sunday, August 2nd: reminder that the lodge is closed so that employees can attend the Moose family picnic at the Wadsworth Eagles picnic pavilion from noon until 5:00 pm.

Monday, August 3rd: Monday burgers, now $3 each, begin at 5:00 pm
