⭐️" Never underestimate the power of one very persistent, determined person to influence others to also find their greatness"⭐ The PADDLE was awarded to another Grizzly Champion yesterday💪 The PADDLE is awarded when an athlete consistently displays its characteristics- Persistence Attitude Dedication Discipline Loyalty Enthusiasm- when they're going the extra mile, chasing greatness, & encouraging others to do the same with a positive attitude & excellence. Lyla had never lifted a barbell before she began training her freshman year, but she never let that stop her! Since Day 1, she's shown up to every session determined to master each task & constantly improve. She has consistently given maximum effort & intensity, & challenged those around her to do the same. Now as a Junior, her hard work has paid off in visible ways in the weightroom (Top lifter in every category for females!) & on the basketball court 🏀 Lyla's attitude & work ethic are admirable & worth emulating- she DEFINITELY deserved this PADDLE - Who's gonna earn it next?!

⭐️" The value of hard work lies not only in the potential outcomes you create, but also who you BECOME in the process"⭐ The PADDLE was awarded to another Grizzly Champion yesterday💪 The PADDLE is awarded when an athlete consistently displays its characteristics- Persistence Attitude Dedication Discipline Loyalty Enthusiasm- when they're going the extra mile, chasing greatness, & encouraging others to do the same with a positive attitude & excellence. Tristan aka TP began training with his Cross Country team his freshman year, then joined in immediately with his Lax bros. He's quietly & consistently focused on improving across the board & performing every task to the best of his ability. Every rep, every set, every minute of every session, you can tell by the look on his face that he means business & is challenging himself every opportunity he gets. The gas tank of an endurance athlete coupled with the strength & power he's buiding every session, has Tristan ready to create as much success for himself as possible for his Sophomore season. This dude DEFINITELY deserved this PADDLE - Who's gonna earn it next?!

Why are you here? What's "Strength & Conditioning" FOR? 🤔 I would guess every coach might have a different definition &/or perspective, but here's OUR mission: to give each athlete a broad base of overall athleticism & fitness so that they can resist physical & mental fatigue not only during practices where they need to put their focus into improving skills specific to their sport (instead of "getting in shape"), but also during competition so they can easily put their energy into remembering & running plays & systems, defending against any opponent regardless of their size/speed/strength, & feeling confident in their skills & ability to go the distance, no matter what it takes. Long story short- let's make you the best version of yourself so you feel bulletproof when it's time to perform. Champions aren't made in the spotlight of a game, their made in the shadows while PREPARING for the spotlight.... plus, I've never heard ANYONE say, "gee, I wish I wasn't in such good shape", so let's get it 💪

Deacon has been all in with training with his Lax bros since his first day in September. He's hammered the basics, focused on form, completed every session with intensity, & pushed himself to improve constantly. His lifts are impressive, his progress is noticeable, & his attitude & work ethic is worth emulating. Deacon doesn't let his Freshman status prevent him from setting the example for those around him. He DEFINITELY deserved this PADDLE - Who's gonna earn it next?!

2 PADDLEs in one week? 🤔 ABSOLUTELY. ⭐️"A setback is a setUP for a COMEBACK"⭐ The PADDLE was awarded to another Grizzly Champion yesterday💪 The PADDLE is awarded when an athlete consistently displays its characteristics- Persistence Attitude Dedication Discipline Loyalty Enthusiasm- when they're going the extra mile, chasing greatness, & encouraging others to do the same with a positive attitude & excellence. Taylor got sidelined with an ACL tear, but never let her injury or surgery hold her back. She's been showing up weekly, working just upper body for weeks, then adding in modified lower body (with Dr approval). At her last appointment, the Doc was so impressed with her progress that she was cleared to lose the brace AND begin harder workouts with heavier lifts. Taylor has turned what could've been an excuse to slack off, give up, or throw away her Senior season into a way to motivate herself to be better than ever! She's been setting a great example of grit & determination for those around her, & DEFINITELY deserved this PADDLE - Who's gonna earn it next?!

Jared aka Big Daddy has been quietly & consistently on a mission to not only be a top performer in the training room & on the field, but also to be the best version of himself. He's been setting the example for those around him since he started training with us last year, & his leadership & work ethic is contagious (& worth catching). His progress is visible, his strength is enviable, & his character is admirable. (He's also helping rehab an old bus to take a trip with his bros this summer, check it out ) This dude is an excellent example grit & DEFINITELY deserved this PADDLE - Who's gonna earn it next?!

Lifting in a circle makes you 37% stronger... it's science 🤣🧪 💪 Seriously though- the habits & actions of others rub off on us. Athletes gravitate towards the work ethic & exercise behaviors of those around them. So, training with your team carries a bunch of intertwined benefits (IF you all stay focused with a good attitude!) that include enhanced consistency, better accountability, & more motivation to improve & succeed. It's about way more than just "working out" with your team- it's about consistency, commitment, building trust with those around you, & and encouraging each other to achieve.

Heavy carries...one of the most simple (but far from easy) ways to strengthen LOTS of muscles & tax the cardiovascular system. These farmer's carry are strengthening the Lax bros biceps, triceps, forearms, shoulders, upper back, traps, quads, hamstrings, calves, lower back, AND core 💪 What's the heaviest YOU'VE ever carried?

Over 70 athletes did an hour yoga session the past 2 days 🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️ We worked on joint mobility & muscle flexibility, balance, stability, core control & focus (with minimal weird sounds & NO complaining- way to go, everyone!) The kids are now discussing adding it to our monthly training rotation 🤔

Caden has been quietly & consistently focused on getting better, faster & stronger for over a year. When an unexpected injury left him in a cast, he decided to train around it in any way possible. He's been full steam ahead since being healed & cleared a few weeks ago. Caden's improvements are noticeable & his determination is admirable. This dude is an excellent example grit & DEFINITELY deserved this PADDLE - Who's gonna earn it next?!
