The 2025 memorial cup is in the books! Congratulations to team USA for a well-deserved victory and many thanks to all the Canadian players who ventured from near and far to come back to the buckeye State. Things are finally settling in for us here and I just happened to look at the calendar. Guess what? The 32nd Phoenix cup to be right here in Wadsworth Ohio is exactly one year away. Get ready, northeastern Ohio. It’s going to be great!

Day, one of the memorial cup is underway. Team USA and team Canada are tied two points each. For those of you who would like to take a look, Fox eight Cleveland is airing a spot on the tournament tonight at 4:30, 530, and 630 Eastern time in the US. For those of you out of the country, I’m sure you could search Fox eight Cleveland Website and find the video.

Many of you have enquired about our annual Spring Reverse Raffle. Well, here you go…
This year’s raffle will kick off our fundraising efforts for both the 2025 Tournament and the 2026 Phoenix Cup! We are very proud to welcome our title sponsor, Huntington Bank.
This year’s raffle should prove to be our absolute best as the Blue Heron Event Center will host the event. We have attached a flyer for your convenience, but for now here are a few highlights:
Plated dinner served tableside featuring braised beef & chicken (special dietary needs can be accommodated)
Complimentary beer and wine bar sponsored by Pine Valley Golf Club owners Michael & Lisa Reynolds
$2,500 Grand Prize
Sideboards, raffle baskets, 50/50 raffle, our famous booze basket, and much more!

The organizing committee is also working on a special opportunity for ten table sponsors. These table sponsors will have an opportunity to take part in a private “Meet & greet” with a Cleveland sports celebrity. Well, a little late this year with my holiday toast, but I had to make sure my toasting partner Madi was available…
This past year I was blessed to participate in the 30th Phoenix Cup at St. Andrews, but you know this as I felt your presence as Randy and I played the Old Course. How I wish we could have experienced it together in this world.
Rest assured you are not forgotten as we think of you often, especially Jamie and Lauren.
