What an incredible luncheon celebrating the Leadership Anson Class of 2026! With more than 40 participants and guests in attendance, the event was a wonderful reflection of a year spent learning, growing, and discovering all that makes Anson County special.
Several class members shared their experiences and personal journeys through the program, while Monica Wall presented a fantastic PowerPoint highlighting our season together. Each participant was asked to share something "good" they found in our community throughout the year, and the responses were as diverse and inspiring as the people who shared them.
Sheriff Howell shared words of hope and congratulations to our graduates and we are always appreciative of his support of this wonderful program.
We ended the day with Steve Lear playing a portion of Queen's “We Are the Champions”. Hands swayed, voices joined in song, and the room was filled with pride and celebration.
A special thank you to Loba-Wakol for hosting us and allowing us to enjoy your impressive facility. We also appreciate Ernie Walters for providing the blessing and Creative Food Concepts for serving a delicious meal. The co-hort brought diapers and wipes to share with Partnership for Children to say thank you for their assistance in Leadership Anson this year. Thank you to Andrew James for the individual photos for our graduates. Huge thank you to Steve Lear for his time and dedication to this program.
