NO BUYING! That’s our objective in this Strike. Enjoy the day off, if you called in 😎 Kick back and relax if you already had the day off 😁 But most importantly, people should be spending the absolute minimum amount of money possible today. If you can’t help it, and you need to, that’s fine. It is an incredibly dangerous time to be without warm shelter right now with how cold this winter has been. And now a major snowstorm coming this weekend. Sadly there are fewer services available between government funding cuts, and local and county leadership that does not have the desire to open a shelter. A sincere question on my earlier post asked, “Why doesn’t a church house the homeless.” I am sure others have the same question. The answer is because when an actual church in the same town that most of the homeless population resides in tried to house them, the mayor threatened to seize the church via eminent domain and turn the property into “pickleball courts.” The authorities near and far have made it as difficult as possible to be without a home. I have no idea what can be done without the will of the leaders.
