This evening's 2027 practical skills gathering at the laundromat proved to be a huge success! The young men enjoyed pizza while mastering essential laundry techniques-sorting, washing, and drying clothes-and departed with a handy cheat sheet to help them navigate laundry challenges during their college years.

The YMSL moms and sons group visited Talitha Koum yesterday for a wonderful experience! They gained valuable insights into Talitha Koum's innovative approach to supporting young children's mental health, then rolled up their sleeves to spend the morning thoughtfully cleaning and organizing the classrooms—demonstrating their genuine commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment.

What a wonderful day we had yesterday at our Sleep in Heavenly Peace Ultimate Gift Bed Build! We brought everyone together, even the Mayor of Waco, to create beds for kids right here in our community, keeping that wonderful spirit of togetherness and giving alive and well.
Throughout this exclusive build event, our team worked through every step-measuring, cutting, sanding, branding, and putting together all the pieces required to craft brand-new beds. It's been such an incredible and fulfilling experience to contribute to this meaningful cause.

Today, we remember through service.
Waco YMSL is honored to receive a 9/11 Day Youth Engagement Grant, funded by AmeriCorps, to support our chapter’s Ultimate Gift with Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
On September 19, our young men and moms will come together to build beds for children in our community, carrying forward the spirit of unity and service that has made September 11 the nation’s largest day of service.
We are grateful for the opportunity to honor the day by helping others and showing our young men what can be accomplished when we serve together.
Waco YMSL members, be sure to sign up for our Ultimate Gift build day through the chapter calendar.
