At a little after 2:00 on Monday, we were dispatched to a large grass fire that turned into much more than that. Thank you ROSS VFD & West VFD for the quick response yesterday afternoon and again last night. Earlier today, our department responded to a grass fire that was accidentally started by a hay cutter. Due to high winds and extremely dry conditions, the fire spread rapidly, requiring a coordinated response from multiple departments.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of the volunteer fire departments that responded and worked together to bring the fire under control. Your quick response, teamwork, and dedication are greatly appreciated.

This incident serves as an important reminder to use extra caution when operating equipment during dry and windy conditions. Stay safe, and thank you to everyone who helped protect our community.
