AsianFest, hosted by Asian Student Association, is coming this Friday(11/10) at Waco Hall. CSSA dance team is invited to perform. Different from previous years, this year CSSA integrates traditional Chinese dance with modern dance including popping and hip hop together and comes up with an innovative choreography. We want to demonstrate that tradition and modernity are not excluding each other and can be united, as indicated by the theme of this year’s AsianFest: United in Our Diversity.

Our CSSA Basketball Tournament had a great turn out this Saturday.
Team of Texas A&M CSSA won First Place
Team of University of Houston CSSA won Second Place
Team of UTD students won Third Place
Our Baylor CSSA basketball team won Fourth Place

Our CSSA will hold Basketball Tournament with other CSSAs from seven universities in Texas tomorrow at SLC from 11:30am to 7:30pm. The purpose of this event is to provide a platform for students to communicate and share the joy of basketball with students from other schools and build friendships. The game is opened to everyone, come to join us if you love basketball. (It's absolutely FREE if you have your Baylor ID to enter SLC.)

As more and more non-Chinese students are interested in joining CSSA, I'm glad to tell y'all that we are currently working on starting a group for students who can speak a little Chinese and are interested in Chinese culture.
The main purpose of CSSA is serving and helping other Chinese students on campus and also sharing our culture with people. We will have celebration events on main traditional Chinese festivals, for example Mid-Autumn Festival and Spring Festival, and other events like Welcoming Freshmen. In addition of holding events, we are often invited by other student organizations to participate their events like AsianFest.
Our next big event would be the basketball game with other CSSAs from seven universities in Texas. The game is on next Saturday at SLC. We are also working on the Spring Festival, which will happen in the beginning of next semester. It is open to everyone in Waco, both Chinese and Americans. We are so excited to share the festival and culture with others. These are the two main events we are working on.

Asian Student Association is hosting the Annual Asian Fest on OCTOBER 28TH from 7:00-9:00pm! Our CSSA dance team is invited to perform a new dance that day. All of the members of our dance team worked very hard for presenting the performance to everyone in Baylor! Hope everyone can be there to support our CSSA dance team!!

Our CSSA is alliance with SMU, UTA, and UTSW on the Mid-Autumn Festival Dinner at Dallas this FRIDAY September 23rd at 7:30pm!! There will be grant performances and dinner provided.

The location: Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 3821 University Blvd, Dallas, TX 75205
Ticket: $5 for entrance, $10 for entrance and dinner, $20 for VIP and dinner, $50 for VVIP and dinner.
We will provide a bus for transportation.

CSSA Basketball Team is going to represent Baylor CSSA to participate in the Texas CSSA Alliance Basketball Game with eight other universities, which are Texas A&M CSSA, UT CSSA, TCU CSSA, UH CSSA, SMU CSSA, UT Arlighton CSSA, UT Dallas.

Baylor CSSA is going to be the one who is hosting this basketball game. The game with be held in SLC on NOVEMBER 12th, 2016. Please looking forward to the Game in November and support our Baylor CSSA Basketball Team!
