Week 4 of summer programming was full of fun and unforgettable moments! One of our very own students had the opportunity to read a book during WISD Library’s weekly reading event at Estella Maxey Community Center, and we couldn’t be prouder. We’ve also enjoyed spending our lunch breaks together at Carver each day, making memories all week—and all summer—long! To top it all off, we got a special visit from a friend who was part of our program last summer. ☀️📚💙

Another week of summer programming is in the books! This week was full of hands-on fun with plant exploration, sensory bean crafts, and a special surprise visit from a furry friend 🐱🌱💚

The first two weeks of summer programming at the Family Center have been a blast! ☀️🎨📚

We've packed our days with fun, creativity, and learning. We've built and painted popsicle stick birdhouses, created beautiful lanterns with our friends from Girl Scouts, and enjoyed summer reading and popsicles with Ms. Covington, the librarian from J.H. Hines.

We're so grateful for our community partners and all the kiddos who have joined us so far. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer brings!

We’re excited to share that we’re starting a Girls Group on Tuesdays at 5pm for girls ages 16–21 🩷

This will be a space to hang out, ask questions, and learn real-life skills together—like budgeting, time management, applying for jobs or college, and building healthy relationships.

You don’t have to have anything figured out—this is a space to learn and grow together.

Curiosity, creativity and confidence thrive in the right learning environment, and Waco-McLennan County's Charter Schools and Montessori programs are now welcoming students for the 2026-27 school year.

🗓️ Key Dates:
- Lake Air Montessori (Waco ISD Magnet): Applications are open and spots are limited.
- BASIS Charter Schools: Open enrollment runs through December 12.
