General sessions begin today! The Registration Desk and Exhibit Hall will be open from 8am-5pm today.

☕Refreshments:
We will have coffee and tea from 8-10:30am in the Exhibit Hall. Light bites will be available from 9:45-10:15am.

Our first plenary, "A Disaster We Couldn’t See" will be from 2:30-4PM.

The Reception Hosted by the OHA's Diversity Committee is tonight. Come join us and grab some ice cream!

Join us for yoga with Carla Bartow, Thursday-Saturday from 7-8am in Galleria North! Yoga passes can be purchased at the registration desk.

Carla first started practicing yoga as an infant at mommy and me yoga. She became a dedicated practitioner in 2012, while she was living in Upstate NY, when she was going through personal change and training as a road cyclist. Her practice followed her to Portland, OR, where she's lived for the past 12 years. Yoga has become an integral part of her life ever since, evolving and expanding. In 2024, Carla decided to jump into the role of teaching, and took a 330 hour foundational training with Audra Carmine. In January 2026, she took a yogic pilgrimage to India, exploring the birthplace of yoga and immersing herself in ancient yogic teachings. We can't wait to see you there!

The Copyeditor role is a part-time, remote position that includes a $1,500 annual stipend and generally includes travel support to attend the OHA annual meeting

Application Deadline: October 23, 2026

The Oral History Association is seeking a Copyeditor for the Oral History Review, the scholarly journal of the Oral History Association and the journal of record for the field of oral history in the United States, with a growing international presence. The Copyeditor works closely with the journal’s editorial team to ensure all published content meets high standards for style, grammar, clarity, accuracy, and consistency. This part-time, remote position requires ongoing engagement throughout the year, with the volume of editorial work varying across the journal’s biannual publication cycle.

Online Registration for the 60th Annual Meeting of the Oral History Association Closes September 30 at 11:59 PM CDT. On-site registration will be available for an additional $25 above the current registration rates.

The last day to book a room at the conference hotel (Hilton Portland Downtown - 921 SW 6th Ave, Portland, OR 97204) at the conference rate is October 1.
