A SIMPLE QUESTION?

As winter weather settles in, we ask a simple question: How comfortable will you be this coming week?

Now consider those who don’t have adequate heat, shelter, or food as temperatures plunge across Texas.

Forecasts are predicting 12 degrees and below in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, 20 degrees and below in Central Texas and Houston, and freezing temperatures all the way to the border. For the most vulnerable, this kind of cold can quickly become dangerous.

In response, Travis left at 3:30 AM today for a 450-mile trip to Houston and surrounding areas, making multiple deliveries and picking up much-needed food and supplies for mission groups serving people in need. These trips ensure that food reaches those who are cold, hungry, and often forgotten—but they come at a real cost.

Fuel expenses alone are significant, and winter response efforts strain our resources even more.

We are asking you to prayerfully consider helping Rick Caywood Ministries meet these urgent needs. Your support helps put fuel in the trucks, food in the hands of mission partners, and hope in the lives of those facing the cold with very little.

Thank you for helping us serve Christ by serving those in need—especially in moments like this.

With gratitude,

Rick, Travis and Jeh

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to say thank you to everyone who stood with Rick Caywood Ministries this year.

Because of your prayers and support, we were able to continue feeding families, serving ministries, and delivering food and supplies to communities across Texas and beyond. From rural towns to border areas, every mile driven and every delivery made was an opportunity to serve Christ by serving others.

Since our founding in 1996, our mission has remained the same—to meet both physical and spiritual needs in the name of Jesus. By God’s grace, more than 1,873,527 pounds of food have been donated through this ministry in 2025, helping families who might otherwise go without.

Hunger still affects millions, including children, working families, veterans, and rural communities—but together, we are making a difference.

As we look ahead to 2026, our prayer is simple: to do more for Christ, reach more people in need, and continue being faithful to the calling God has placed on this ministry.

Thank you for walking with us, believing in this mission, and helping us deliver hope—one load at a time.

Year-End Giving Reminder

Celebrating Christ This Christmas
As we come to the close of 2025, Rick Caywood Ministries (Chihuahuan Connection) pauses to give thanks for a year filled with service, compassion, and God’s faithfulness. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the greatest gift ever given and the foundation of everything we do.
This season, we were blessed to once again assist Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry in Waco by completing our annual transport of toys for their “Toys from the Heart” Christmas outreach. For more than 14 years, this program has helped provide Christmas gifts to homeless and underprivileged children, bringing joy and hope to families throughout the Waco community. We are honored to play a small role in helping make Christmas brighter for these children.
As the year ends, we want to thank every donor, volunteer, and prayer partner who made this ministry possible in 2025. Your support helps us continue delivering food, supplies, and hope in the name of Jesus.
Year-End Giving Reminder:
Donations must be postmarked by December 31, 2025, to be counted as a 2025 tax-deductible contribution.
From all of us at Rick Caywood Ministries, we wish you a Merry Christmas filled with peace, joy, and the love of Christ.
“For unto you is born this day a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” — Luke 2:11

We Need a Blessing and You Are Blessed to Give
Dear Friend, we need “Go Dough”.
We know that God will not give us the say-so without the peso or the way without the pay.
Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it will be given to you.” The measure we give is the measure God returns to us.
In these uncertain times and immediate bills due today our donations have slowed, and our biggest challenge is fuel. While we continue to receive food from major grocery chains, unfortunately we need funds to pick it up and deliver it to families in need this week.
Would you prayerfully consider giving today to keep this mission moving? Your gift makes a real difference. We will gladly come and pick up your local check.
With gratitude,
Rick

A Letter to Our Friends

For 29 years, we have carried the same burden: feeding the hungry. After all this time, I wish I could say the need is shrinking. It is not.

The latest USDA report shows that since 2023, more than 47 million people in our nation live in food-insecure households each year. And the number is rising. Children, older adults, and families in rural and southern communities face some of the hardest struggles. Even working households of families who once managed are falling short. Rising costs and limited resources have stretched them past their strength.

We know the Lord calls us not only to see this need but to answer it. “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me” (Matthew 25:35). This work belongs to all of us.

Our ministry has always gone where the need is greatest, whether across the border, in the wake of disaster, or here at home. But in recent months, scarcity has grown, and our resources have been tested. Supply lines have faltered, trucks have broken down, and funding has fallen short. Each gap means fewer meals in the hands of the people who depend on them.

Scripture reminds us, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act” (Proverbs 3:27).

If you cannot go, you can give.

Your donations allow us to keep food moving where it is needed most.

We remain in the battle. With your prayer and support, we will not stop.

"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.” Proverbs 19:17

Thank you for your kindness to the poor with your gifts through
Rick Caywood Ministries.

Travis is on his way to Lubbock to get a truckload of pinto beans for the border.

A truckload of beans provides approx. 500,000 servings.

Jesus promised that you would do greater things.

Jesus served 5000.

You are serving 500,000.

Each food gift to the hungry is a fourfold blessing.
You bless God.
You bless the hungry family
You bless our work.
And you bless yourself.

Please send an extra prayer to God for our provision.

Spring break season is brutal on Kingdom giving.

Rick
