Ten years in the making… and still processing the magnitude of this moment.

I am deeply honored to serve as the keynote speaker at Fort Hood for the 25th Anniversary of Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month.

What once was pain, silence, and survival has now become purpose, voice, and impact.

To stand before our soldiers—men and women who carry so much, often unseen—and speak life, healing, and truth… it’s not something I take lightly.

This isn’t just about sharing my story.
It’s about **creating space for other survivors to feel seen, heard, and empowered to reclaim their power.**

It’s about reminding our military family that:
➡️ You are not alone
➡️ Your story does not end in what happened to you
➡️ Healing is possible—and so is rewriting your identity

If even one soldier walks away feeling stronger, more supported, or ready to uplift their fellow brother or sister… then this assignment was worth it.

Grateful. Humbled. Ready.

Teddy Bridgewater was suspended from his alma mater, Northwestern (Miami) High School, in 2025 after admitting to covering food and transportation costs for his players, which were ruled as impermissible benefits.

Still Making History Profile: Dallas Clark -- Turning Lived Experience into Lifelines for Others

For Black History Month, MiraVista honors Dallas Clark — a local leader whose life proves that recovery is possible and purpose can rise from pain. A family man and a man of great faith, Dallas transformed his own experience with addiction into a mission to help others break free from substance use and gun violence and build meaningful, drug-free lives.

“Iron sharpens iron,” he says — meaning those who’ve walked the path of recovery are uniquely equipped to guide others. Today, Dallas serves as a recovery coach, trainer, and mentor, and to many, a true lifeline.

He is also the founder of Cultivating Better Minds, a nonprofit supporting post-incarcerated individuals with recovery, employment, and reintegration. Soon, Dallas will open the first Black-owned community recovery center in Western Massachusetts — a historic step forward for culturally responsive care.

Dallas’s story is one of resilience, leadership, and transformation. Please read it here: https://www.miravistabhc.care/iron-sharpens-iron/

Recovery is real. Purpose can rise from struggle.

Still Making History. Still Changing Lives.
