With the rise in anti-immigrant rhetoric, misinformation, and propaganda being churned through media and the internet, we're grateful to partner with the North East Riverside Neighborhood Association to get the truth out to our community members about immigration.
As Gov Abbott and the TX Senate continue to pass unconstitutional, hateful policies this month, it's important that we all are educated and make informed voting decisions and speak up.
We must link arms and work to expose and dismantle the systems that are squeezing every bit of life out of our communities, most often for profit. These systems are rooted in elitism, white supremacy culture, and anti-Blackness.
Our struggles are unique but intertwined. ✊🏾✊🏿✊🏼
It is necessary to unite in order to co-create a society (and world) where there is equity, peace, justice, and where our "government" isn't owned and operated by the wealthiest few families /individuals. We are stronger as One.

**This session is specifically for those who are not immigrants, to clear up myths about the current border situation, why people are seeking asylum or refugee status (and what those two mean), what is a visa or green card and why doesn't every non-citizen have one, and why do people overstay visas, what is causing /fueling border crossing, what we can do to help, etc.
We will let you know about sessions in the near future regarding Texas' SB4, once we know more about how the Supreme Court rules on it next week.
