One of the most impactful relational supports we offer caregivers in McLennan County is through our Parent Advocate volunteer role. 💙
Parent Advocates provide friendship, a listening ear, encouragement, and practical support to the caregiver they are paired with—and the difference this relationship makes is truly incredible.
Meet Parent Advocate, Emily Baker:
“God is using the privilege of being a Parent Advocate with TFG to make me aware of specific, tangible needs that can be so easily met by our generous community. He is so gracious to constantly remind us that we are never alone!
‘J’ and I are also consistently reminded of the power of prayer. As we continue to get to know one another, share prayer needs, and lift them up together, God is answering in ways only He can.”
Parent Advocates help ensure caregivers know they are not alone and we are SO thankful for our parent advocates like Emily!!
Interested in stepping into this role? We’d love for you to join us at a training this summer and take the next step in offering hope, encouragement, and friendship to an isolated caregiver right here in our community 🫶🏻
