✨ A late International Women’s Day Highlight✨

We are honored to recognize one of our own.

After an amazing 46 year career, Bridget McNeill retired from Oncor Electric Delivery. Throughout her journey, Bridget made history as the first female meter reader for Texas Power and Light, setting the tone for a career defined by resilience, leadership, and excellence.

She served as a Customer Engagement Senior Business Analyst and became a trusted Subject Matter Expert, known for her ability to navigate complex customer concerns and collaborate with customers, agents, and organizations like the PUC, BBB, and Attorney General’s Office.

Bridget also played a key role in developing the processes and systems that help track and resolve customer issues, work that continues to support teams and customers today.

Her legacy is one of trailblazing, dedication, and impact. Because of women like Bridget, doors are open wider for the next generation.

💜 Thank you Bridget for your years of service and for inspiring so many along the way.

🌺 WiNUP North Texas had a great March meeting! We kicked things off with Jacqui Spicer, Senior Director of Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing Procurement at Oncor, who shared insights about supply chain and her leadership journey. One message that resonated with many of us: “Be yourself – no one is a better you than you.”

🏃🏼 We also heard from Harold with The Cove in Waco about the impact our upcoming June 5K will have on homeless teens in the area. Last year alone, The Cove supported over 200 high school students experiencing homelessness with meals, tutoring, school credits, clothing, and more.

🥇 In honor of Women’s History Month, we highlighted our NTX Chapter Chair Bridget McNeill for her incredible leadership, 46 year career at Oncor, and 11 years of service with WiNUP.

🍲 We wrapped up the day with a tour of the new Supply Chain facility in Venus led by Justin Harris, followed by lunch and networking at Casa Jacaranda.

WiNUP North Texas Chapter showed up to support one of our incredible community partners, Young Women’s Preparatory Network, during their annual STEM competition in Dallas this past weekend.

Teams of 3 to 4 young women from middle and high schools across Texas presented innovative solutions to a shared prompt. This year’s challenge focused on addressing a real healthcare need using technology with an emphasis on AI. The creativity and confidence on display was truly inspiring. Students developed prototypes, live apps, and fully functioning websites after consulting medical professionals and conducting extensive research.

Participants presented to mall visitors for a People’s Choice award and to a formal panel of judges, with winners recognized during an award ceremony immediately following the competition.

Huge thank you to Chandlier, Jessica, Melenda, Kristi, Sarah, and Bridget for representing WiNUP and supporting the next generation of women leaders in STEM.

If you would like to learn more about Young Women’s Preparatory Network, the competition, or ways to get involved, be sure to check out their website.

💝To close out the meeting, we assembled 10 Welcome Home baskets for the Women in Need nonprofit, a perfect way to end the day by giving back and supporting women stepping into a new chapter. 💝

WINUP had the honor of partnering with Rockwall County’s Women in Need organization to create Welcome Home baskets for families transitioning from shelter into safe housing. Each basket is filled with essential household and cleaning supplies to help bring comfort, dignity, and stability during a fresh start. 🧺✨

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve and support such a meaningful nonprofit and the strong women and families they uplift every day. 💛
