What a day! 🌧️🏃♀️💙
Despite the pouring rain, our community showed up and showed out for the inaugural WiNUP North Texas 5K. Seeing so many people lace up their shoes, brave the weather, and support such a meaningful cause reminded us exactly why this event mattered.
Because of your participation and generosity, we were honored to present a $2,000 donation to The Cove, fulfilling the commitment we made to support their incredible mission. Thank you to every runner, sponsor, volunteer, donor, and supporter who made this possible.
We also want to give an especially heartfelt thank you to Marissa Moorefield, the visionary behind this fundraiser. She took on the challenge of creating an event that our organization had never hosted before, and that is no small feat. From securing sponsors and recruiting runners to coordinating countless details, she dedicated endless hours, energy, and heart to making this race a reality. Finding sponsors, recruiting runners, and encouraging people to participate in an event they had never experienced before is not easy, but Marissa believed in the vision and worked tirelessly to bring it to life. We are beyond grateful for her leadership, perseverance, and commitment.
