Mr. Stockreef is doing the kind of work that changes lives. His “Real Life Tuesday” lessons teach Connally seniors practical skills most of us had to figure out the hard way, including how to actually use the tools in front of them. After our board visited his classroom, there was no question. Every senior in his classes should walk across that stage with a toolkit of their own. Proud of our club for showing up, and proud to stand alongside an educator who’s preparing these students for the real world. 🔧💙

🏆 Butch Henry Award — Connally High School 🏆
Congratulations to Daniel Hancock and Tylar Thomas, this year’s recipients of the Butch Henry Award and scholarships from the Northwest Optimist Club!
This is what our club is all about: investing in the kids of McLennan County and standing behind the next generation of leaders coming out of our community.
We give this scholarship in honor of Butch Henry, a great man whose heart for young people and unwavering belief in their potential left a mark on everyone who knew him. Daniel and Tylar, you carry that legacy forward. We’re proud of you and can’t wait to see what you do next.

PARENTING HACK! 😂
For those of you with Teenage Kids....
If you argue with your kids about eating in their room and returning dirty dishes to the kitchen, tell them they are going to end up with mice in their room that will bring their little furry friends with them.
Then, go to the grocery store and purchase some Black Rice and sprinkle it in their closet, under their bed, and maybe a few under their covers. It looks like MICE DROPPINGS and it will scared the crap out of them.
Trust me - you won’t have that room cleaning issue any more!
