We are a team from Baylor University and Family Health Center: Waco, trying to understand how widespread the virus that causes COVID-19 disease is in McLennan County. We are looking for volunteers who would consider participating by completing a survey and donating a small blood sample.

To answer some of your questions now:
i. We are now recruiting only people who have been hospitalized for COVID-19 or members of their household who have not had any signs or symptoms of the disease.
ii. We need a small blood sample as well as information about your health, behaviors, and opinions. The questions would be answered on a secured website. The small blood samples would need to be collected when you come to the Madison Cooper Community Clinic (1610 Providence Drive, Waco).
iii. Anyone at least 18 years of age who has lived in McLennan County since last December can participate.
iv. Spanish speakers can be accommodated.
v. You will enter drawings to win H-E-B gift cards ranging from $10 to $100 each.
vi. Your information will be collected confidentially. We cannot inform anyone except you about your information.

We really need to come together as a community to understand this deadly virus. Consider doing this for others that are not as strong as you.

The Waco COVID Survey is sponsored in part by the Family Health Center: Waco, TX. The Family Health Center was founded in 1969, uniquely developed from a coalition of business, political, and medical leaders pulling together to solve community problems. FHC now has 15 clinics spread throughout the McLennan County area that are here to provide the best quality healthcare services to vulnerable populations in our community. FHC was created to address a shortage of doctors, lack of primary care access to less fortunate populations, and economic development. http://www.wacofhc.org
