Baylor's chapter of AMoM is a service organization with the mission to improve the quality of life of vulnerable and underserved children and inspire them to be brave, strong, and fearless through fun and engaging social wellness activities. We accomplish this through creative programming that promotes social-emotional wellness and coping with daily life stressors exacerbated by a child and family
’s circumstances. Our most popular services include Tailored Bedside Visits, Character Visits, Athlete Visits, Creative Arts Workshops, Mental Health Workshops, Direct Family Support, and Inter-family Connection. Our partnerships through our national foundation and university chapters span children’s hospitals, community nonprofits, CureFest, and many more organizations benefiting underserved populations. As a Baylor Chapter, we have closely partnered with Mission Waco to host weekly arts and craft classes and planned Character Visits as part of our creative programming. This upcoming fall we have formed partnerships with Dallas Children's Health, McLane Children's, Cook Children's, Dell Children's Medical Center, and local nonprofits. College volunteers will have access to AMoM's honor society, Alpha Nu Zeta, and many other special leadership and internship opportunities through Baylor's chapter and the national foundation. Members can serve as Magic Maker volunteers or train to become a beloved Character for our visits! We welcome all students into our supportive community for weekly chapter meetings, socials, and service events.
