Kara has four beautiful boys, and the two middles are twins. These twins Daxtyn and Hayzen shared a placenta in the womb causing Daxtyn to have almost no blood and Hayzen to have too much. They had to have an emergency c-section at 30 weeks and they spent 59 days in the NICU getting blood transfusions and breathing treatments. Daxtyn was revived after birth and doctors claimed he would not live. He is diagnosed with AMC, a bone and joint condition. They are now a year old, happy and healthy. Daxtyn has to have physical therapy weekly and he has had surgeries and castings to straighten his legs, this takes three days out of the week to make it to his appointments. His twin brother, Hayzen, was found to have an 11 CM tumor in his liver, common for premature babies. It is too large to remove with surgery, so the doctors recommend chemo to shrink it until it can be removed without damaging other organs. This gofundme is created by Kara’s best friend, Holly, in attempt to request help with travel expenses, food, baby necessities, and other things that are needed. Most of the doctors they need are specialists and over an hour away. If you are uncomfortable with donating to a gofundme, I would be more than happy to receive food cards and gas cards.
