Wabasha County DAC The Wabasha County DAC is a non-profit program for individuals with intellectual disabilities

WE BELIEVE… in individualized programming based on the strengths, needs and interests of each person. We strive to provide training, assistance and supervision needed for people who are mentally and physically challenged to reach and maintain their highest possible level of skills, productivity, independence and inclusion into their community.

Emily and Emily had a great time at Ferguson’s Apple Orchard! They enjoyed the hayride, goofing off together, playing in the corn pit, and riding the apple ride. The cool yellow bus was another fun highlight! On the way home, they stopped at Blooming Grounds Express Coffee House for a little coffee treat to wrap up a fun-filled day!

The one day a year the boss gets an appreciation post 😜

Happy boss day to our one and only Ty Gaedtke! Our maintenance man, our IT guy, our company (and personal 😂) vehicle mechanic, our landscaper, and the hundreds of other tasks that are thrown at him at any given time - there’s nothing he can’t handle!

The DAC has made huge strides in programming in the last 5 years, and that is largely due to Ty’s leadership and knowledge he has brought us. We are so thankful for a boss who leads us, encourages and supports our ideas, and never fails to make us laugh.

Thanks for all you do Ty. Happy Boss Day! 🤩🎉

The last two days, we’ve enjoyed lunch at Prairie Moon Sculpture Park, spending time goofing off, laughing until our cheeks hurt, and having WAY too much fun with great company! 😂🤣❤️ Good food, good friends, and lots of laughs — what more could you ask for?! Yesterday, Joe ventured out to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, for a fun-filled day of exploring! 🦒🦬
Our first stop was Market on River, where we grabbed a bite to eat at Valley Burger Company and wandered around checking out all the little shops. Then we headed over to Irvine Park & Zoo to see the animals and explore everything the park had to offer. The buffalo were definitely one of the highlights—they were awesome to see! 🦬❤️
Another great adventure in the books for Joe! He did a great job getting out, exploring, and enjoying the day! 😊

They also took some time to pick out a few fun fall decorations for the DAC, helping bring a little extra autumn spirit to our space! 🍂🎃

Another Thursday, another adventure with puppies! 🐶❤️

Today, the crew stopped at The Country Stop in Pepin for some lunch, then headed north for some sweet treats (with Knox and Kip included, of course! 😉), a little extra energy, and plenty of fun.

They played a few rounds of UNO before wrapping up the day with some famous pie from The Stockholm Pie Shop! 🥧🐾

Another busy day full of good food, games, puppies, and great memories! ❤️
