Register to participate in 4-H/FFA Crop Scouting.
Registration is now open for the 2026 4-H/FFA Crop Scouting Challenge and the Novice Crop Scouting Experience, giving youth in grades 3+ the chance to explore agronomy through hands-on learning, teamwork, and fun at the University of Minnesota St. Paul Campus on July 28!
Register by June 15 for team experience; novice participants need to register by July 15.

Welcome Claire Anderson!

Claire started as the Extension Educator, 4-H Youth Development in Wabasha County on June 1st. Claire is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire with a Bachelor’s of English degree. In addition to Claire’s academic background, she has worked within Wisconsin Extension in Pierce County and Polk County. Claire is an alumna of Pierce County 4-H. She lives on her family farm in Pierce County where she likes to spend her time reading, baking, and spending time with family.

Senior Spotlight: Claire Schumacher

Meet Claire Schumacher from the Gillford Golden Gophers 4-H Club! Claire has been involved in 4-H for 11 years and has made countless memories along the way. Some of her favorites came from traveling to Missouri and Pennsylvania through the 4-H Travel Exchange program, where she enjoyed meeting new people and learning about different states.

After graduation, Claire plans to attend the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire to major in Healthcare Administration.

Claire says 4-H helped her develop important interviewing and public speaking skills through presenting projects, while also teaching her the value of volunteering in her community.

Her advice to younger 4-H members: “Get involved in anything that might interest you. Also join Travel Exchange you will have so much fun!”

Senior Spotlight: Abby Fick
West Albany Winners 4-H Club

Abby has been involved in 4-H for 12 years! Her favorite memories include late nights in the dairy barn with friends, watching the autocross, and participating in the dairy show. 🐄

After graduation, Abby plans to attend Minnesota State College Southeast to become a Sterilization Processing Technician.

Through 4-H, Abby gained communication skills, timeliness, and confidence. Her advice to younger members: “Talk to new people, make new friends, and take the State Fair trip if you can — you’ll have the time of your life!”
