We put some miles on this past week! From Mankato to Minneapolis and down to Lanesboro; we've been all over the place... leading another workshop for school nurses and social workers in southwest Minnesota, presenting about our abolitionist research project for the Dakota County Historical Society, offering training sessions to share nature field trip ideas with PICA Head Start staff in Minneapolis, and bringing nature programming to libraries in southeast Minnesota!

This morning, Plainview Migrant Summer School students learned about wildlife. We went on a scavenger hunt, played games, made animal track prints, and learned about snakes.

The kids taught the grownups about the origin of the emblem on the Mexican flag. Did you know the eagle holding a rattlesnake is derived from an ancient Aztec origin legend?
