Don't forget that our Summer Meal program starts tomorrow, June 2. These are free meals offered to ages 1-18 at Metro North and Southwood Elementary Schools. Available Monday - Friday from June 2 - 19.

Breakfast is served from 8 - 8:30 am, and lunch is served from 11:15 am - 12:00 pm. Meals must be consumed at the school.

Congratulations to Southwood softball team! Our girls are Regional Champions with a 13-1 win over Union City!

Congratulations to twin brothers Mason and Logan Lyons, who earned the top academic honors for Northfield's Class of 2026. Mason was named Valedictorian, while Logan was recognized as Salutatorian.

The sons of Jason and Amanda Lyons, both were heavily involved throughout high school, participating in Metro Rage Soccer, Varsity Football, Varsity Track & Field, Robotics, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and 4-H.

This fall, both will attend Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Mason plans to study Mechanical Engineering and play football, while Logan will pursue Electrical Engineering and compete in track and cross country.

Thank you to Geoff Schortgen of the Purdue Extension Office of Wabash County for being our program at lunch today.

Geoff, an educator with the local office, shared information on community gardens and the Office’s Master Gardener program, as well as the many collaborations and partnerships they have with other community organizations.
