✨Project SEARCH Graduates Darlene & Payton✨
We're thrilled to recognize these two individuals for their hard work and dedication to completing their Project SEARH program. Over the past 22 weeks, they've not only increased essential skills like communication, interviewing, budgeting, and workplace etiquette, but they have also discovered their own strength and resilience.
As interns, Darlene and Payton were provided hands-on training throughout various departments within Parkview Wabash and Parkview Huntington Hospital. Darlene was able to learn skills in Patient Registration, Housekeeping, and surgery preparation. Meanwhile, Payton enjoyed his rotations in the Dietary department and learned how to stock shelves, wash and sanitize dishes, work the front line, and how to assist customers.
When asked what they had learned throughout their internship and who had impacted them most, Darlene and Payton both reported:
Darlene - "I learned how important it is to wash my hands, smile and greet people, assist people where they need to go, and how to clean and sanitize. Someone who impacted me the most was our instructor, Sherry Mercer".
Payton - "I learned how to work as a team, how to help others, how to cook, and how to wash and put stuff away. Someone who impacted me the most was a staff at Parkview named Daniel".
We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the entire staff at Parkview Wabash and Parkview Huntington. Your compassion and leadership made a lasting impact and laid the foundation for Darlene and Payton to step outside their comfort zones and grow in confidence and independence.
Please join us in congratulating our 2026 graduates, Darlene & Payton!
