rid of those exorbitant utilities and maintenance costs. How do they work? In our simply designed waterless urinals, a disposable EcoTrap replaces the traditional water filled urinal trap. The EcoTrap, which is inserted in the urinal drain outlet, contains a layer of BlueSeal liquid, as an odor seal. When urine is deposited into the urinal bowl, it flows into the EcoTrap and then through the BlueSeal before descending down the drain, keeping the bathroom sanitized and smelling clean! Additionally, this design requires less maintenance than a traditional water based system and is more cost effective. The BlueSeal liquid only has to be replaced once about every 1500 uses while the low cost EcoTrap needs replacement only about 2-4 times a year. Furthermore, our urinals don’t require costly flush sensors and deodorizers. In fact, it’s estimated that Waterless Co. urinals have operating costs of around $1.00 per 1000 uses. We’ve designed our products around the following principal: why use water to transport water? Urine is already approximately 95% water to begin with and gravity makes it flow. Water itself is not a disinfectant, but is a breeding ground for germs.
