🥵 Extreme heat can affect your mental health, too.

High temperatures can leave you feeling more tired, irritable, stressed or overwhelmed. For people already experiencing mental health challenges, prolonged heat can make a difficult time feel even harder.

Some people are also at higher risk for heat-related illness, including infants and young children, older adults, and people with chronic medical conditions.

Take care of yourself and your community:

🧊 Find a cool, air-conditioned space
💧 Drink plenty of water
🤝 Check in on friends, family and neighbors — especially those at higher risk
🧠 Give yourself permission to rest
☀️ Limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day
