From friendly competition on the volleyball court to spikeball, ice cream, hymn singing, and time spent in God's Word, our gathering in Wexford, Pennsylvania, brought Reformed young adults together for an afternoon of Christian fellowship and encouragement in the faith.
October is a month rich in church history. We remember Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation, William Tyndale, who was executed after dedicating his life to translating the Scriptures into English, and Hugh Latimer and Nicholas Ridley, who were burned at the stake for refusing to renounce their Protestant convictions.
May we always be grateful for the Bible we hold in our hands, the true gospel preserved throughout generations, and the freedom to gather and worship without persecution and not just during a season of thanksgiving, but every day. Hebrews 13:3 reminds us to remember the people that are imprisoned for their faith, as well as those who have been mistreated for being believers. May we continue to keep the persecuted church in our prayers.
— Hebrews 13:3
Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.
