Olga thought a positive pregnancy test meant a healthy baby. That's not how it went.

"It was such a gift to be able to talk about and honor the life of our babies." Mari attended the last Embrace Retreat and shared what the day meant to her.
The Embrace Retreat is a one-day event for mothers, fathers, and couples who have experienced pregnancy loss. Licensed Clinical Social Worker Michelle Randolph leads the day, which includes guided study, healing activities, and time for memorialization and reflection alongside others who understand.
June 13 at the TKRL offices in Visalia. Space is limited.

Adoption 101 last week was heartfelt and packed with good information. Kathy Cummings shared what it was like to be adopted. Joe and Monica Mendes shared what it was like to adopt their son. Mona from Koinonia Adoption Agency walked the room through how the process actually works.
The group also learned how to become a CASA volunteer for kids in the foster system.
