💙💛 Why Rotary?
Because making a difference is better when we do it together.
Visalia Breakfast Rotary brings together local leaders, professionals, friends and neighbors who share a commitment to giving back to the community we call home.
We support local youth, partner with organizations doing important work, take on service projects, build lasting friendships — and have a lot of fun along the way.
Service Above Self is more than a Rotary motto. It's what brings us together and keeps us working to make Visalia and our surrounding communities a little better.
We're proud to be People of Action. 💙💛

🏃‍♂️ What a special morning at Visalia Breakfast Rotary!

Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming Thomas Valles and Coach Jim White, two of the real people behind the inspiring story that became the Disney film McFarland, USA.

Thomas was a member of McFarland High School’s legendary cross-country team, coached by Jim White. Their story of hard work, perseverance, teamwork and overcoming adversity eventually made its way to the big screen — but hearing about it firsthand from the people who actually lived it is something entirely different.

Their message is a powerful reminder that where you start doesn’t determine where you can finish — and that sometimes one person who believes in you can make an incredible difference.

“Champions can come from anywhere.”

A sincere thank you to Thomas Valles and Coach Jim White for spending the morning with Visalia Breakfast Rotary and sharing their stories, memories and inspiration with us.

It was truly a memorable Rotary morning.

Service Above Self.

What an incredible night.

Our Visalia Breakfast Rotary Impact a Life event may be over, but the impact will continue long after the evening ended.

Together, our community helped raise more than $200,000 — and that simply would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, donors, guests, volunteers, and fellow Rotarians.
To everyone who attended, contributed, donated, sponsored, volunteered, or helped behind the scenes: thank you.

This wasn't the accomplishment of one person or one organization. It was a community coming together for a common purpose — to make a difference in the lives of others.

We put together this short video to celebrate the evening, the people who made it possible, and what we accomplished together.
From all of us at Visalia Breakfast Rotary, thank you for helping us Impact a Life. ❤️
