Election Day is today! Polls are now open.

Polls close at 8 p.m. If you arrive at a voter center by 8 p.m and are still waiting in line, you can still vote. Never leave the polling place without voting. If someone tells you that you can’t vote for any reason, you can demand a “provisional ballot.”

This election is important for the future of democracy. We have the power to make a change.

¡El día de las elecciones es hoy! Las urnas ya están abiertas.

Las urnas cierran a las 8 p.m. Si llegas a un centro de votación antes de las 8 p.m. y todavía estás esperando en la fila, aún puedes votar. Nunca te vayas del lugar de votación sin votar. Si alguien te dice que no puedes votar por cualquier motivo, puedes solicitar una “boleta provisional”.

Last month, the community of East Orosi in Tulare County hit a key milestone to achieve its Human Right to Water by breaking ground on its safe drinking water project. This success is only possible because of community leadership, political will, regulatory support, and local collaboration. ✊💧

Affordable drinking water is moving forward! Today, both by Assemblymember Soria and by Senator Menjivar have both passed out of the floor in their respective houses! We will continue to press legislators to vote yes on drinking water affordability.

A special thank you to and for championing this important affordability issue.
