Day 2 of Emergency relief distribution was a success!! Thank you to our volunteers who showed up for another day of heavy moving and lifting! Even the truck driver got down from his truck and stepped in to help! God is so good!! 🙌🏼

Thank you to all of the volunteers who answered the call for help this morning and came out to the warehouse to help us load up a truckload of resources. These items are being sent down south to the Eaton fire victims and surrounding areas, we’re sending pillows, blankets and diapers today and we have another load going out tomorrow with first aid kits, tarps, cots, more blankets and much needed relief. We continue to pray for all of our neighbors in Southern California and ask that you do the same. We are excited to announce our Winter Market fundraising event! We are looking for local craft and artisan vendors as well as food vendors to help us make this a successful event!!

Please note there is a vendor discount for those who donate food for the pantry at Tulare Church of The Nazarene, let’s come together as a community and help them replenish their stock!!

At CityServe TulareKings, we are deeply disappointed by the recent change of direction by HHSA, resulting in the loss of HomeKey 3.0 funding for the Elevate Visalia (formerly known as CityServe Lofts) housing project. We were so optimistic that we could reach a solution and together help at-risk youth in Tulare County.

However, CityServe TulareKings remains hopeful. We firmly believe that housing our transitional age youth is critical to reducing our homeless population. We will continue to explore and implement ways to provide resources and support for these young people in our county. Thank you to our wonderful community who continue to provide support and prayer of our initiatives.

CityServe is about training and equipping the local church and also the community at large, to be the driving catalyst of transformational change.

Our Executive Director continues to deliver on that mission by providing leadership trainings in this community and she sets the bar high when she does it!

She’s had a busy week beginning with the culinary program at College of the Sequoias, together with the Career & Transfer center staff. What an amazing group of young people who are thinking about what God has in store for their future.

Yesterday, Raquel Garcia presented to a full audience for the SHRM of Tulare/Kings County on the topic of Conflict Resolution. It was an excellent time of training leadership professionals to be effective communicators! Thank you to these community partners for your confidence in the work we are doing.
