We went on our first investigation in October. It was definitely a learning experience. We stayed at Gold Hill Hotel and Silver Queen, in Virginia City, NV.
Upon entering room 4 at Gold Hill, we felt an intense heaviness. I've actually never felt anything like it.
We used these app Spirit Talker a lot, and got relevant answers several times. At one point in the common room, it told us to go eff ourselves, lol.
We moved back to our room. I stepped forward to grab the doorknob, and the door opened. The rempod blipped green, and at the same time the app said look up.
Then the app said let us rest, so we did. My niece said she woke up at one point, and was afraid to open her eyes, because she knew someone was standing by the bed. She cuddled up to me, and finally fell back asleep. Nothing else happened during the night.
Room 13 at Silver Queen had a totally different feeling. Not really calm, but nothing like Gold Hill. We set up our limited equipment around the room. We put a rempod on the edge of the table right inside the door.
We roamed around the nearly empty hotel looking for any activity. Other than a creepy feeling, we didn't get anything.
Back in our room, we got relevant answers from Spirit Talker again.. We asked, "Are you in the bathtub?" It answered, "No."
My niece and sister were sitting on the floor, whispering to each other about something. I couldn't hear what they were saying. All the sudden the Spirit Talker said, "Damon." My sister and niece flew up off the floor onto the bed. My niece had been talking about her friend Damian.
Did the Spirit Talker hear them, but get the name wrong? It made us question the apps legitimacy. Being an app is it listening to us and randomly spitting out answers that seem relevant? Or is it legitimately allowing spirits to interact with it? I've got different opinions from some people. I'm still undecided.
Moving on.... We were very tired and decided to try and get some sleep. I think it was after 1. We both crashed. A little after 2am the rempod went off (solid green) and woke me up. It did that for about a minute, and then it started going crazy and going through all coolors, including red. It continued for a few minutes, so I finally got up and reset it. No sooner than I got back in bed, it started going crazy again. It continued again for several minutes, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't malfunctioning and I changed the battery. Shortly after I made it back to bed, it began going crazy again.
It finally calmed down and we went back to sleep. The rempod continued going off every once in awhile, all night long. Mind you, the rempod had only gone off once at Gold Hill. I wish we weren't so wiped, and actually had got up and interacted with it. As I said, it was a learning experience. We'll for sure be returning to these hotels again.
I've now acquired several pieces of equipment and can't wait for the next adventure.
