The Rise & Shine Balloon Rally would like to welcome Pilot Peter Kamp, flying the balloon “Summit Pointe”!

Peter was born into a ballooning family and is a 2nd generation balloon Pilot. Peter has been around balloons since before he could walk or talk and was born to be a pilot. He earned his pilot certificate at age 16, followed closely by a commercial certificate. He is currently attending college majoring in computer engineering and plans on continuing flying wherever he ends up upon graduation. Peters balloon "Summit Pointe" is a 2018 Cameron 90.

The Rise & Shine Balloon Rally would like to welcome Pilot Kevin Kamp, flying the balloon “Big Top”!

Kevin has been involved in ballooning since 1986 when, as a high school student, he started crewing for a friend's Aunt and Uncle. He obtained his Pilot certificate in 2002 followed by a commercial rating in 2003. Kevin has flown or competed throughout the midwest compiling nearly 1200 flight hours. He recently flew in the 38th annual Italian international Balloon Grand Prix in July of 2025 in the Umbria region of Italy. His balloon "Big Top" is a 2018 Cameron 120.
