Virginia City Ice Join our page to help support on going efforts to improve and maintain Virginia City's ice rink. Find out about ice conditions and upcoming events!

We provide a great outdoor outlet to area residents. We offer free skates to use and hockey sticks. Donations are used for rink maintenance, zamboni repair, rink liner and skate maintenance. We are saving up to build a new warming hut.

We cordially invite you to attend a special event tonight in Virginia City, featuring singer-songwriter Joe Shields, aka Joe Cartoon and Cousin Joe Twoshacks. During this hour-long show, he will perform and share insights into his songwriting process. Admission is FREE!
The venue is the historic Metropolitan Meat Market building on Main Street, and the event will run from 7pm to 8pm.

These 2 are hosting their IceDog team on their home ice tomorrow, Saturday, from 2:30-5:30 for a pond hockey game. Cure your cabin fever and come on out to cheer them on! The fire will be going and the sled hill and snowmobile trails are in great shape! Warm up at the pio afterwards!

Saturday January 25 the rink will be hosting a pond hockey tourney during the day. Come on out and watch some fun outdoor ice hockey! Should start around 8 and end around 4!

FYI, we will be taking advantage of the cold temps and flooding the rink on Saturday at 2pm. Please give time for water to freeze. Thanks and happy skating!
