Caribbean Paws Adoption Network A foster-based rescue that brings Puerto Rican pets to permanent homes in Virginia and North Carolina.

Every animal in our care is rescued, vetted, and loved in foster homes while they wait for their forever family. Marley is doing so well in foster, and we are loving watching this little guy grow!
At just 2.5 months old and under 5 lbs, Marley is a tiny, scruffy sweetheart with so much potential. He has even started picking up some leash skills by following the lead of his foster brother. How cute is that?
Because Marley is so little, a home with young children may not be the safest fit. Older, gentle, and considerate kids would be wonderful!
Cats and other dogs are still much bigger than Marley, but he is young enough to learn to live happily with just about any furry friend who is willing to welcome him into the family.
Marley is a special little guy, and we want to find him the perfect home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished as he grows.

🐾 Two Island Hearts, Two Second Chances 🤍

Meet Duke and Nala, a mama and her baby who are getting a chance at the lives every dog deserves.

🐶 Duke is an adorable 2.5 month old little guy who is so tiny he fits right in the palm of your hand! Currently living in a foster home in Virginia Beach, this sweet boy is snuggly, loving, and impossible not to adore. And just look at those eyes! One brown and one blue make this little island original extra special.

🐾 Nala is Duke’s mama. She is a 3 year old, 16 pound, now spayed female who will be arriving at her foster home this week. After being dumped on the side of the road, she deserves a family who will love her, care for her, and never leave her behind again. She has so much life ahead of her, and we hope her next chapter will be filled with the security and affection she deserves.

Sadly, Nala’s story is a reminder of what can happen when dogs aren’t spayed responsibly and puppies arrive unexpectedly. Thankfully, her story didn’t end on the side of the road. Thanks to their rescuers and a whole lot of luck, Duke and Nala have been given a chance to leave the island behind and discover what it means to be safe, cherished, and part of a family.

Now we hope their next bit of luck will be finding the forever homes they deserve.

Hunter is a 6 month old puppy, and around 30lbs. He loves to play with his people and other dogs. His favorite toys so far have been the flirt pole, tennis ball, and anything that squeaks! He also is a big fan of slow paced bike rides ( short and slow while he’s young ) one of his fosters favorite pastimes!

Hunter is a pretty chill puppy who would thrive with someone who could put time into his training and socialization. Chill doesn’t mean he doesn’t require exercise, so don’t be fooled he can run and run like every other puppy. Hunter is a little shy when it comes to new things, so a slow introduction is the best but he loves kids of all ages and dogs of all ages and temperaments.

He is not a huge fan of men yet but he is meeting new men with his foster and trying his hardest to get out of his shell.

He is still learning commands, with “come” being his favorite and best command. His potty training is going great with his current foster but will require frequent potty break outside. Currently his potty breaks are monitored so we can make sure he goes before coming back in the house!

Hunter will come with two free lessons from our trainer Rachel Gilpin with AEG K9 Academy, who is also his current foster.

🐾 TINY BOYS, BIG PERSONALITIES! 🐾

These four adorable little boys are now available for adoption in Virginia Beach!

Meet Benji, Enzo, Bailey, and Marley 2! These cuties are about 2.5 months old and weigh just 4.5 pounds each. We expect them to stay small as adults. We suspect they may have some Yorkie in their mix, but these little guys are definitely a mix of mixes!

Each has his own personality:

🐶 Enzo is a playful little guy who LOVES chasing a ball!

🐶 Marley 2 is full of personality and sure to keep you smiling.

🐶 Benji is a bit more laid back, with a sweet, easygoing nature.

🐶 Bailey is another mild mannered little sweetheart who seems to enjoy taking things at a calmer pace.

These tiny boys are ready to find families who will love them, help them grow, and give them the wonderful lives they deserve!

Their adoption fee is $395, which includes neutering when they are old enough.

It’s another BIG day for Caribbean Paws! 🐾

We have a transport making its way up I-95 today with 19 wonderful dogs, while sweet Marley is at the vet undergoing his front leg amputation to help him move forward with a healthier more comfortable life.

Lots of moving parts and lots of forward progress today! ❤️

Marley will recover with our amazing trainer, but we would really love to see him find a home where he can get the individualized care and attention he needs. If you think Marley might be the special boy your family has been waiting for, we’d love to hear from you. 🐾

Our trainer has been so incredibly good to us and our dogs. Thank you, Rachel, for having such a big heart for our Caribbean Paws pups!

Buddy is Learning so much in foster care 🐾
Buddy had the misfortune of growing up in a shelter in Puerto Rico. He didn’t get to experience the little things most dogs take for granted: sleeping in a home, following his people around, learning household routines, going for walks just because, and discovering that humans can be trusted.
Now he is getting that chance, and doing very well. ❤️ Buddy loves his people, going for walks, and playing tug. He is snuggly with his person and needs time to decide if new people are ok. He would also enjoy chasing cats so a cat free home would be best. Want a small watch dog? Buddy would be eager for the job if it came with family benefits. Put in an application to learn more. Buddy would do best in an only dog/no small children household.

Cooper/Nieve is turning 1 year old in just a few days… and his birthday wish is pretty simple.

He would love to get just ONE inquiry. ❤️

This sweet, snuggly boy is almost 40 pounds, neutered, healthy, and wonderful with both dogs and cats. He loves playing with the other dogs in his foster yard, and he doesn’t even need a fence to enjoy himself.

Cooper has no interest in running away from the place where he feels comfortable, safe, and loved. In fact, he seems to have a little job of his own…

He likes to be the LAST dog to come inside.

Why? Because Cooper wants to make sure everyone is together and safely inside before he comes in too. Maybe this boy has a little shepherding instinct in him? We think it’s pretty adorable.

He is affectionate, playful, snuggly, and just an all around good boy who has been waiting patiently for someone to notice him.

4 MORE LITTLE BOYS NEED YOUR HELP! 🐾

Our transport arrives Thursday, and we are SO close to having everyone accounted for!

Benji, Bailey, Duke, and Draco are still waiting for foster homes or adopters. These four sweet boys just need someone willing to open their home and give them a safe place to land.

Even if you can only foster short term, PLEASE reach out. A short term foster can make all the difference and help get one of these boys safely off the transport and into a loving home.
