Marine Corps Marathon Charity Team Member Highlight: Abigail Dingler

Abigail is returning for her second Marine Corps Marathon as an Angel Rider with our Eastern/Southeastern North Carolina ambassadorship! She will be rolling with Sophia Summer as Team Abigailfishy.

After three years with Ainsley’s Angels, Abigail loves meeting new people, participating in races and being part of a community that stretches across the country. She is especially excited to see the monuments and reunite with her Ainsley’s Angels friends at MCM.

We cannot wait to cheer on Team Abigailfishy, thank you for being part of our charity team!

Today is White Cane Safety Day, also recognized as Blind Americans Equality Day, and we're celebrating some pretty incredible innovations making everyday life more accessible:

👓 AI-powered smart glasses can read signs, identify objects, and even connect someone with a volunteer who can describe what they're seeing in real time.

📱 Apps like "Be My Eyes" connect blind and low-vision individuals with sighted volunteers who can help with everyday tasks. And yes, you can sign up to volunteer!

🏃 Accessible technology is changing athletics, too! From audio navigation tools to adaptive equipment and sighted running guides, there are more ways than ever to participate in the activities we love.

Want to help make the world more accessible? Keep sidewalks clear, add image descriptions to your social media posts, and always ask before offering assistance rather than assuming someone needs it.

Technology is opening some incredible doors, but inclusion is something we can ALL help create.
