This beautiful girl was brought to us at around 2:00 a.m. on 13 July, after she was found being attacked by dogs in Lango.

Please drive carefully...

A humble request to everyone travelling tomorrow for the Birth Anniversary of Guru Rinpoche—or travelling on any other day:

Let us think not only about where we are going, but how we get there.

We already know BST (Bhutan Stretchable Time) applies. There is no reason to hurry. Please slow down, pay attention, and do not hit a dog, cat, horse, cow—or any animal—along the way.

For almost 20 days now, we have received at least one dog hit by a vehicle every day—sometimes as many as three. This is not okay.

No destination is worth reaching, and no prayer is worth reciting, if another life does not matter.

LOOKING FOR OWNER — PLEASE SHARE 🙏🏼🐴 🙏🏼

This newborn foal was found trapped in a drain early this morning. Thankfully, some kind people spotted her and got her to safety.

She is both injured and unwell, so both the mother and foal are now with us.

We have been told she belongs to someone past Tsento, potentially a highlander, but we do not know whether the owner is currently in Paro or up in the mountains.

Please spread the word so we can locate their family. Thank you ❤️

(No unkind comments, please, about the owner not taking care of their animals. Grass and other forage are essential for equines to remain healthy and maintain a properly functioning digestive system. Without commercial sources of hay or grass available in Bhutan, many owners have little choice but to rely on open grazing to feed their animals.)
