✨Hello darlings! Ms. Marine De Bris here, back with some more "Talkin' Trash!"🗑

Last weekend was the International Coastal Cleanup and LRNow was out once more. This time, 77 volunteers picked up 3.94 tons of litter and dumped materials at West Neck Creek and Scarborough Square. Whew! 😓

Recently installed fencing should hopefully deter future dumping at this site. Let's hope so!🚯

💪Looking for ways to improve your neighborhood? LRNow is able to attend civic league meetings to discuss trash issues or provide you with informational materials to share, you can borrow a kit to hold your own cleanup, or work with LRNow to plan a larger event for significant issues.

✨🐚 Darlings….are you Ready For It? 🐚✨

It's time I make my big announcement. All this time I've been thiiiiiiiiis close to my album drop and, let me tell you, it's been a Cruel Summer of waiting!

Between cleaning up marine debris like it's my Reputation on the line and launching my "glitter alternatives" campaign, the life of this trash girl has been giving full Eras Tour energy!💅

But now it's time to share my secret. My brand-new album is overflowing with anthems about a topic near and dear to my heart (literally, my heart is made of it).

It's plastic, of course.

If you look closely, you might just spot some plastic-themed Easter Eggs....and even a solution or two! (Because yes, darlings, We Are Never Getting Back Together with single-use plastics).

So….what do you think? Am I in my fabulous Plastic-Free Era or what? 💃🌊✨

Darlings…the scandal of it all!💔

🙄Thalia Creek was caught wearing a literal ton of the worst accessories possible. I'm talking plastic bottles, old wrappers, and who-knows-what! Positively dreadful.

Thank goodness some fabulous folks decided to help out! 🥲

Wolcott Rivers Gates volunteers removed 755.6 lbs from their shoreline and, not to be outdone, another group of volunteers met at Princess Anne High School and whisked away 1,332.8 lbs of trash from the shoreline, campus, and beyond.

Now the creek can breathe, sparkle, and swish her waters like the glamorous queen she is. Bravo, my dears. Bravo. 💅🌊

But let's take care to reduce our waste and make sure rest doesn't end up in our waters. Now excuse me while I take to my bed to recover from the shock of all this trash!🥴

It's Ms. Marine de Bris, here, getting ready to go to bed with a wet cloth on my forehead. The sight of all these bags of filth picked up at Lake Lawson/Lake Smith Natural Area is enough to make any lady swoon.

Thank you, LRNow volunteers, for picking up over 500 pounds of trash to help keep this beautiful natural area clean.

We’re two weeks into the and making an incredible impact! There’s still time to join, log your actions, and help protect wildlife and wild places.

On Team LRNow this week, Rachel used reusable wool dryer balls, Kathryn emptied the lint trap, Vince bought a programmable thermostat, Amy joined our team, Emily changed her computer settings to energy saving mode and Karen skipped the balloons!

Small steps = big change.
