🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ We are so excited to see everyone Thursday night at Post Secondary Brewery for this year’s Elizabeth River Run Preview Run 5K! 🎉

We’re excited to have Post Secondary Run Club co-hosting with us! 🤝

The 5K loop map is attached! Most of this route is part of the back end of the ERR 10K course, so it’s a great chance to preview the course and have some fun with fellow runners.

Want to run longer or shorter? That’s great too! Run whatever distance works for you. 🙌

🏆 TIDEWATER STRIDERS HALL OF FAME — CLASS OF 2027 🏆

Do you know a Tidewater Strider who has made a lasting impact on our club and the running community? Now is the time to nominate them for the Tidewater Striders Hall of Fame Class of 2027! 👟🏅

📣 Nominations are due by November 1, 2026!

To be eligible for the Hall of Fame:
• Nominees must have been a member of the Tidewater Striders for a minimum of 10 years.
• Members may self-nominate or be nominated by another club member.
• Those submitting a nomination on behalf of someone else must have been a Tidewater Striders member for at least 5 years.
• A maximum of 5 members will be inducted into the Class of 2027.

📝 Nominations must be submitted electronically in Word format, using Times New Roman, 12-point font.

📧 Submit completed nominations to Randy Cook at [email protected].

You may cut and paste the nomination form provided in the official nomination document directly into Word.

One week later, take on this fast 5K course through a beautiful golf-course neighborhood. Proceeds benefit the CHAS Foundation and its work helping individuals and families affected by mental illness.

📍 Downtown Suffolk

Finish the Challenge with an amazing 5K through Downtown Suffolk and its beautiful neighborhoods. The race finishes at Freedom Park, where runners can enjoy a post-race party with beer and Panera boxed lunches!

Proceeds will benefit military Families. Last year, race funds were donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

What an AMAZING morning at Owl Creek Landing! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️☀️

A huge THANK YOU to owlcreeklanding and Virginia Beach Adventure Park for having us out at this amazing facility. We had an absolute blast! 🙌

We had runners join us from FOMO, NERC, Pack Training Team, Kempsville Run Club, Chesapeake Run Club, vibrant Brewery Run Club, Brew Crew, and several other local clubs and groups. We also had so many families come out and enjoy the fun! ❤️

We hope everyone had a GREAT time! If you haven’t checked out Owl Creek Landing and Virginia Beach Adventure Park yet, you definitely need to — this place is AWESOME! 🤩

Thanks again to everyone who came out and made this such a fun morning! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Thank you to everyone who came out to today’s annual Tidewater Striders picnic!

A special thank-you to Dan Edwards for hosting us at his lovely home, and to Randy Cook for organizing such a wonderful event.

The weather held up for us, and everyone had a fantastic time enjoying great food, good company, and lots of fun!

🌳🏃‍♀️ We’re excited to see everyone tomorrow morning at Owl Creek Landing!

We’ll meet in the parking lot at 8:00 a.m. and then head out onto the trails together. Runners and walkers can mix and match the different trails to reach their desired mileage:

Nautilus Lookout Tower: ⅔ mile round trip, with an option to climb the stairs
Treetop Trail Canopy Walk: ⅓ mile
Forest Trail: ½ mile
Parking lot to the base of the tower: ½ mile round trip

If you would like to add more mileage, you can continue onto the trail along General Booth Boulevard.

We’ll have water and Gatorade available in the parking lot. Please stay hydrated!

Come enjoy a fun morning of running, walking, and exploring Owl Creek Landing. All paces and families are welcome!
