Register now for the opportunity to learn from an accomplished member of the Club Brittany community! āļø Kristian Ramkvist brings a lifelong passion for swimming and a wealth of experience to our community and program. He has served as the Director of Menās and Womenās Swimming at Virginia Wesleyan University, where he led and developed competitive collegiate swimmers. Prior to Virginia Wesleyan, Kristian worked as an aquatics trainer for the U.S. Navy, coaching East Coast Navy SEAL candidates five days a week to build strength, efficiency, and confidence in the water. He has also led successful swim programs as Head Coach of the East Coast Aquatic Team and as a Lead Coach for Tide Swim Team, working with swimmers from beginners to elite competitors.
Kristianās coaching background includes international experience in Sweden and Denmark, helping teams achieve historic results at national competitions. A former assistant coach at Old Dominion University, Kristian is also a proud ODU alum and four-year varsity swimmer. He earned All-CAA honors and still ranks in the top 10 of ODUās record books in multiple events. Swimming is truly a family traditionāhe competed alongside his brother at ODU and met his wife Amanda, also a former collegiate swimmer, through the sport. Above all, Kristian loves sharing his knowledge, building strong technique, and helping swimmers of all ages rediscover the joy and confidence that comes from being in the water.
