April was an incredible month for the Virginia Beach Jaycees as we continued to serve, grow, and represent our chapter on the local, state, and national levels!
We kicked off the month supporting MS ECSC at Bucketheads! A huge thank you to ECSC Chair Lindsey Peard and Nydia Lomperena for all of their hard work and dedication to this impactful cause.
Our members also participated in the Vision Walk benefiting the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Special thanks to Community Service Vice President Michelle Johnson for organizing our involvement and helping us support such an important mission.
The month concluded with JCI USA 2025 Year-End Convention in Missoula, Montana, where the Virginia Beach Jaycees were honored with several outstanding recognitions!

π Chris and Jaketa Thompson were also honored with the Mungenast Memorial Award for Outstanding Family.
π ECSC received an Honorable Mention for Local Economic Development Program.
π First Citizen was awarded the Dr. Jerry Bruce Memorial Award for Outstanding Long-Term Community Development Program.
π Virginia Beach Jaycees received the Visionary Award for Innovation in the Face of Adversity for the incredible work done during Hurricane Erin and the dedication of the ECSC crew.
π 2025 State President Sean Brady was awarded the Allen Whitfield Award for Outstanding State President.
