✨ Graceson’s Magical Orlando Adventure 💙
Five-year-old Dreamer Graceson and his family experienced an unforgettable Orlando adventure filled with beloved characters, exciting rides, and, most importantly, time together.
From meeting Spider-Man, Mickey, and Minnie to exploring Disney, Universal, LEGOLAND, and SeaWorld, there was no shortage of magic. Spider-Man made an especially big impression, while the Avatar ride at Animal Kingdom brought a memorable moment when Graceson reached for Mom’s hand before bravely enjoying the adventure. 🕷️✨
At Give Kids the World Village, the family made even more special memories. One of the most meaningful was watching Graceson create his star, a lasting symbol of his Dream. Between character tuck-ins, meeting firefighters, seeing SpongeBob, poolside slushies, and plenty of his favorite foods, Graceson had the chance to simply be a kid.
For his family, that was one of the greatest gifts of all: time away from everyday worries to relax, have fun, and enjoy being together.
Mom described it best: “An amazing, amazing trip. We have been talking about it since we returned.” 💙
We are incredibly grateful to Peter Decker Children’s Charity for partnering with us to help make Graceson’s Dream come true.

⛳💚 A Day of Golf, Giving, and Making Dreams Come True!

What an incredible day filled with generosity, community, and heart! Last week’s Toby’s Dream Foundation Golf Tournament was a tremendous success, and we are still feeling so grateful for everyone who helped make it possible.

To every golfer who joined us on the course, every volunteer who gave their time, and every supporter who contributed to this special event, THANK YOU! Your kindness, enthusiasm, and generosity are what make days like this so meaningful.

At Toby’s Dream Foundation, everything we do is centered around one mission: bringing joy, hope, and unforgettable experiences to children facing life-threatening illnesses and their families. Events like our Golf Tournament are about so much more than a day on the course. They are about coming together as a community to create moments of happiness, provide families with cherished memories, and remind our Dreamers that they are surrounded by people who care.

💙 Forever Remembering Matthew

Seventeen-year-old Matthew came to Toby’s Dream Foundation while courageously battling a malignant brain tumor. By the time we met him, his illness had greatly affected his strength and mobility, but there was still a Dream we hoped to bring to life.
Matthew’s Dream was to attend a pre-game Washington Redskins event. When his health made traveling impossible, we quickly turned to his second Dream: meeting player Ryan Kerrigan.
With Matthew’s condition declining and Ryan in California at the time, we reached out and asked if he could send Matthew a special video message of encouragement.
That message arrived just in time. 💙
Ryan’s video brought a huge smile to Matthew’s face and gave him a special moment of joy during an incredibly difficult time. For his parents, Michael and Danielle, seeing that happiness meant so much.
Just weeks later, Matthew earned his angel wings.
Although his time with us was far too short, we will always remember Matthew’s smile, his courage, and the joy his Dream brought him. His story is a reminder that sometimes a Dream doesn’t unfold exactly as imagined, but even one beautiful moment can leave a lasting impact.
Matthew will always be Forever Remembered. 🕊️💙

💙 Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the Toby’s Dream Foundation Board of Directors, Dr. Billy Ward!
Dr. Ward brings extensive experience in military medicine, surgical care, and leadership to our Board. A board-certified complex general surgical oncologist, he currently serves as Force Surgeon for Marine Forces Special Operations Command and has held leadership roles at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, in addition to deploying in support of military operations overseas.
A longtime member of the Hampton Roads medical community, Dr. Ward lives locally with his wife, Mary Elizabeth, and their three boys.
“As a surgeon who trained and now practices at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, I came to know Toby’s Dream Foundation through the children it serves and the families it supports. Over the years, I have been continually inspired by its mission, by the enduring legacy of Toby Vaught’s generosity, and by the courage of the children whose Dreams it brings to life. I am humbled and honored to join the Board of Directors and help carry that work forward.”
We are incredibly grateful to have Dr. Ward join our Board and look forward to the experience, compassion, and dedication he will bring to our mission of making Dreams come true. 💙✨

✈️ Trevon’s Dream Takes Flight 💙

For 15-year-old Dreamer Trevon, his Dream was filled with firsts, thrills, and unforgettable moments with the people he loves most.
Trevon and his family traveled outside of Virginia for the very first time, starting with their first-ever flight! Their adventure took them to Disney World, Universal, and Give Kids the World Village for a Dream they wished could last forever.
🎢 At the parks, Trevon was all about the rides, especially from the front seat! VelociCoaster quickly became a favorite, while riding the Hulk alongside his dad and brother made for an extra-special memory.
At Give Kids the World Village, the fun continued with pool time, slushies, snacks, surprise gifts waiting on their porch, and, of course, plenty of ice cream. 🍦 Trevon even enjoyed ice cream three days in a row.
But one of the most meaningful moments came when Trevon placed his star at the Village, a lasting symbol of his Dream and his journey. ⭐
More than anything, this Dream gave Trevon and his family the opportunity to step away from everyday life, explore somewhere new, and simply enjoy being together.
“I didn’t want to leave, everyone was so friendly. This was our first experience outside of Virginia, we just wanted to stay.”
From roller coasters and family adventures to pool days and sweet treats, Trevon summed it up perfectly: “Everything was wonderful.” 💙

✨ Dreamer Flashback: Mia 🏰💙
Today, we’re looking back at a very special Dream that gave 5-year-old Mia a birthday celebration fit for a princess! 👑
Mia celebrated her fifth birthday with an unforgettable father-daughter trip to Disney World with her dad, Danny. Their adventure began at Give Kids the World Village, where Mia quickly discovered one of her favorite perks, ice cream every day! 🍦
Then it was time for the Disney magic. Mia explored the parks, experienced incredible attractions, and, most importantly, got to meet the Disney princesses she had grown up loving. ✨
Although Mia’s mom, Shawna, wasn’t able to join them on the trip, Mia and her dad made sure she was part of every magical moment by sending photos, sharing updates, and connecting with her along the way.
“Even though I am unable to be with Mia for her Disney trip, the pictures her dad has shared and being able to Skype with her has turned my frown upside down,” Shawna shared.
For Mia and her family, this Dream transformed a fifth birthday into a true “happily ever after” experience filled with memories they could treasure together. 💙
