Our group members gathered at the Philippine Cultural Center of Virginia this afternoon energized to co-create opportunities within our community and beyond.
Discussions centered around showcasing compelling presentations at the upcoming Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) conference; a biannual event coordinated this year by the FANHS DMV Chapter. We also exploring synergies with FilFest and CUFOT. A big thanks to all who participated, in-person and virtually.
Fun fact: Did you know our meeting coincided with National Volunteer Week, which occurs yearly on April 19-25th. Every member of our group generously contribute their time, talent, and voice, embodying the spirit of volunteerism as promulgated by the Points of Light Foundation.
