Our NAMIWalks Coastal Virginia sponsors are helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by mental health conditions.
Because of their generosity, we're able to provide free support groups, educational programs, advocacy efforts, and resources throughout Coastal Virginia—ensuring that no one has to face mental health challenges alone.

Please join us in thanking these incredible organizations for standing with our community and helping make NAMIWalks Coastal Virginia possible. We encourage you to support the businesses that support mental health!

💙 Thank you for investing in hope, connection, and a future where everyone has access to the support they deserve.

Be sure to register and join our sponsors on Saturday, October 17th!

July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month!

If you’ve ever shared a mental health concern and felt dismissed, you’re not alone. It doesn’t have to be that way. Through NAMI, join a community that listens and responds.

NAMI Coastal Virginia is collaborating with Norfolk State University to discuss Minority Mental Health, share resources, and destigmatize talking about our experiences.

We kicked off NAMIWalks Coastal Virginia 2026 last week with seafood, yard signs, and one simple question: Why do you walk?

NAMIWalks is our largest event of the year. It brings mental health awareness into the public eye, raises funds that ensure our programs are always free, and proves that none of us walk alone.

The event is October 17th, but you can get involved now!

Register to walk: https://www.namiwalks.org/coastalvirginia

Have a physically and psychologically safe 4th of July!!

For many, the 4th of July is a time of celebration—but for individuals living with anxiety, trauma, sensory sensitivities, or other mental health needs, it can feel overwhelming. Loud fireworks, crowded spaces, and disruptions to routine may increase stress or emotional discomfort. Supporting a loved one during this time starts with care, awareness, and flexibility.
