👋 💡 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 — 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄?

That name badge you wear at every Rotary meeting? It has a story! 😄

𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀, one of the very first members of the Rotary Club of Chicago, created the Rotary name badge that members around the world wear proudly at meetings to this day. And if that wasn't enough, Harry also introduced 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 — because apparently great community starts with knowing each other's names and a good song. 🎵😄

Over 120 years later, those two simple traditions are still alive and well in Rotary clubs around the world — including right here at the 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗿𝘆. 💙

Somewhere in the world right now, a Rotary meeting is happening. And in an hour — another one. In fact, there is a Rotary meeting taking place 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 across more than 𝟰𝟲,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯𝘀 worldwide. 🌏

Here's a fun way to put that in perspective: if you attended one Rotary meeting per day, it would take you 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝟴𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 to visit them all — and by the time you finished, there would no doubt be thousands of brand new clubs to add to your list! 😄
