Based on these assessments and lab results, Mission Jamaica will develop an initial health plan for each individual the team evaluates. Mission Jamaica’s medical team will be a pacesetter and benchmark in excellence for providing basic health assessments, testing, risk factor identification, and education in charitable and non-profit medical groups delivering health care to the Jamaican people tha
t would otherwise not be able to access. We will carry out this mission through community service, education, advocacy, and promotion of respect and compassion. Team members will work together with local health authorities and the Ministry of Health to give each life we touch an increased awareness of threats and potential threats to their health and wellness. Mission Jamaica 2021 Information:
Mission Jamaica is made up of a team of medical and non-medical volunteers. Our mission trips vary from 1-2 weeks in length. Our clinics will be mainly in the Westmoreland Parish. Clinics are set up in area churches and health clinics. Mission Jamaica will perform basic health screenings and lab testing done by medically trained volunteers, such as nurses. A nurse practitioner or medical doctor will perform additional exams and distribrute medication based on the results of their exam, as necessary. Medical volunteers will perform lab work and administer medications. Non-medical volunteers will perform reading glass exams and distribute reading glasses, supply s*x education material, distribute condoms and assist medical team as necessary. If you are interested in joining our 2021 team, please contact our team leader, Norda Ratcliff, RN, MSN, ANP-BC to secure a position on our team. Our 2021 schedule:

Please note: transportation fee pertains only to Mission Jamaica related activities. You will be responsible for your own transportation should you do activities outside of Mission Jamaica. Medical volunteers: in addition to the $250 transportation fee, you must complete a licensure packet which may be found on our website. The completed license packet along with any licensure fees (this fee varies based on the number of times you have applied for a Jamaican license) must be mailed to Norda. She will mail everyone’s packets at the same time. To apply: log onto www.mission-Jamaica.com and download the required forms
