Today is the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp by the Soviet Union in 1945. It is Holocaust Memorial Day and the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Hitler’s genocide, known as Shoah in Hebrew, wiped out two-thirds of Europe’s Jewish population – including an estimated 1.5m children.

Freemasons were rounded up with the political dissidents, People of the Jewish faith, Gypsies, and others deemed unfit or dangerous, and taken to concentration camps. It has been estimated that anywhere between eighty thousand and two hundred thousand Freemasons were murdered under N**i rule.

Freemasons were considered political prisoners and had to wear inverted red triangles on their shirts and pants to identify them as such.
