The following is an event that the cemetery is doing. Registration is required. HWS is just helping to spread the word about this event. Any questions should be directed to the cemetery.

This Saturday Back Bay NWR is hosting two public events!

The first weekend in June is Virginia's Free Fishing Weekend. From June 5 - 7 fishing licenses are not required and those interested in fishing are encouraged to try it out. The Izaak Walton League will be out at D-Pool from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Drop by anytime!

Saturday, June 6 is also National Trails Day. We will celebrate with a guided walk at 10:00am. This walk is best for those new to the wildlife refuge and young hikers.

No registration is needed for either of these programs. Both programs are free, but there is a $5.00/vehicle entrance fee. America the Beautiful Passes and Federal Duck Stamps cover entrance to the wildlife refuge.
