As summer is in full swing, our pantry shelves are becoming emptier each week. We know times are tough and that rising grocery prices have made it harder for everyone, so we understand if you're unable to give.

If you're able, any donation—big or small—can help provide food for local families in need. Pantry staples like canned vegetables, fruit, soup, pasta, rice, cereal, and peanut butter are always appreciated.

Thank you for helping us keep our shelves stocked and our community nourished this summer. ❤️

We were delighted to support our community partners at the "Small Biz, Big Impact" Summer Bash hosted at Aviva Pembroke! 🌟

It was a wonderful evening celebrating the power of community collaboration, and we especially enjoyed reconnecting with the Hospice House of Hampton Roads and Habitat for Humanity, two organizations we're proud to support through our grant program.

Events like these remind us how valuable it is when organizations come together to build connections that strengthen our community and benefit the seniors we serve. 💙

We were also delighted to welcome our 2026 Grant Recipients and celebrate the meaningful difference their work will make in our community.

We were proud to walk alongside Jewish Family Service of Tidewater, Inc. at the annual Elder Abuse Awareness Expo & Walk, standing together to support and protect older adults in our community.

The reality is sobering: 1 in 10 older adults experiences some form of abuse, and more than 900 cases of elder abuse were reported in Virginia Beach alone last year. Awareness is the first step toward prevention.

If you see signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, speak up. Together, we can help ensure older adults are treated with the dignity, respect, & care they deserve. 💜

Beth Sholom Village is proud to announce the recipients of its inaugural community grant program supporting nonprofit organizations serving seniors across Tidewater/Hampton Roads.

For generations, Beth Sholom Village has cared for older adults with compassion, dignity, and a deep commitment to community. Today, that mission extends beyond our campus walls through strategic investments in organizations helping seniors remain active, connected, engaged, and supported.

Rooted in the Jewish value of tikkun olam, repairing the world through care and action, this inaugural grant cycle reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the quality of life for older adults across our region.
